Are You Deceiving Yourself?

From the February 2015 Trumpet Print Edition » Here is a simple test to find out—and a straightforward solution. Did you know that you can hear the Word of God—and at the same time, deceive yourself? Out of everyone on Earth, very few ever even hear the true Word of God. And a great majority who do actually deceive themselves. Self-deceit destroys your happiness and deprives you of blessings. It makes your Bible muddled and confusing in many ways—in fact, God says He will actually hide His revelation from you! However, if you overcome self-deceit, you will have a strong spiritual house that can weather any storm. Your life will overflow with joy and happiness, and God will pour out blessings on you. You will understand your Bible better. These are all promises from God! So, are you deceiving yourself? How can you know? And how can you break away from self-deceit? Here is the plain, direct answer from your Bible: “[B]e ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves” (James 1:22). You deceive yourself by hearing and not doing. And you break free of that deceit by doing God’s Word.

MY STONE

I have gotten a turquoise stone after a long time of looking for a real one like this since there are many fakes in the market that look like real. But now at least I found the real one. I am contemplating of making a pendant out of it in the near future. Something I will make myself.

Peace and Quiet

A place of peace and quiet. I really wish I could be in one of these kind of places where there is no hassle and anxiety of any kind to trouble the mind.

TO LOVE GOD AND MAN

I realized that the 10 commandments is really about how to love God and others. In the picture the commandments is categorized into two in that effect. It is really simple if we really take it to heart. But it is so sad to think that most people or other denominations erroneously think and insist that we don't need to obey the commandments because it was already done by Yahushua a.k.a. Jesus Christ. Is that a correct assumption? That we are exempt from doing it? I don't think so. It is clearly stated in John 14:15 "If you love Me, you will keep My commandments", so why the confusion? Yahushua said "I and the Father are one." John 10:30, it means they have one and the same thought and purpose, that is for the commandments to be done in order to show our love to the Father. I quit analyzing. If it is their conviction, so be it. I also have my own.

Almost Passover

I am contemplating preparation for the upcoming Passover this coming April 15th of this year 2014. I will be buying a bottle of red wine, flour for the making of unleavened bread. I will get the chicken oil on the day I will prepare the Matza. If I can't get chicken oil, I will have to make do with Olive oil instead. I tried it last year and it was still delicious. Our Passover did not happen without the irksome disturbances from outside forces. It seemed that these outside forces tried to thwart our keeping the Passover. Nevertheless, we made it successfully, the three of us. Me and my two daughters. My heartfelt thanks to YHWH above.
